Hello again my friends!

For the next SHOP SMALL business blog series I am excited to bring you The Crafty MC, owned by Sarah McMann of Holliston, MA! I had the pleasure of meeting up with Sarah and chatting all about owning a small business, holidays, pandemic life and kids. Sarah was so much fun to work with and she is a really fun person to follow on social media. Not only is she super talented, but I just love her sense of realness and humor about daily life. I will link her social media down below, give her a follow, you won't regret it!

Before starting her crafting business Sarah was working for a large company as a meeting planner for 20 years. She traveled all over the country and even ventured internationally for her job and really enjoyed it! Unfortunately, like many people she lost her job during the pandemic and made the choice to pivot. I've heard this term being used a lot lately because I think many of us have literally had to re-evaluate major parts of our lives, such as our careers and make the choice to move in a different direction. This will be a common thread throughout this small business blog series because so many of the people I have worked with made the choice to start their businesses or dive fully into them due to the pandemic. Sarah knew she was good at crafting and that she enjoyed it, so she turned it into her own business! Sarah was having a hard time coming up with a name for her business so her friend actually came up with the name The Crafty MC because she knew Sarah loves rap and hip hop music and it is also a little nod to her last name MCmann, perfect!

Sarah started her Etsy Shop in September of 2020 and hasn't looked back! As her Etsy shop description states, she creates "fun, handmade craft items with sass and flair" and that is the perfect description for her pieces. They are fun, whimsical and will put a smile on anyone's face! She creates handmade ornaments and gift sets that are perfect for anyone! She made an amazing and creative ball ornament that is PERFECT for teachers. Scroll down to see her eraser themed teacher ornament, it is just too cute.

When Sarah isn't crafting or taking trips to Michael's and Joann Fabrics you can find her spending time with her family, doing yoga, cooking and doing all of the other thousand responsibilities that come along with being a mom to two kiddos!

If you are hoping to snag an item from her shop you will want to place your order ASAP! She is accepting orders until December 19th, so if you have been eyeing something from her, run and go get it!

Even if you aren't in the market for some holiday crafted items you're going to want to keep The Crafty MC in mind! She makes crafts and gift sets for every occasion so if you want to get some ideas for Valentine's Day or a loved one's birthday you're going to want to follow her!

You can find The Crafty MC on Instagram and Etsy! You may even spot her wearing her signature big sunglasses and oversized chain necklace when she's on her Instagram stories.
